International Community

The number of foreigners in Italy has considerably increased in the last decade. Official statistics place the figure at about 3 million, more than double what it was in 2001.  Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT).

A rapid population increase may create problems for any country but there are also numerous advantages to be had in a multi-cultural society. Italy has enormous interest in international music, arts, theatre, cinema, and lifestyles. Cross-cultural links are facilitated through these international events.

International Community

Students who choose Milan to further their education have many opportunities to keep in contact with their home countries through personal contacts, the international community of Milan and international artistic performances that our cosmopolitan city has to offer. After a short time nostalgia becomes only a distant memory.

One very important thing students can do is become cultural ambassadors between their countries and Italy. This phenomenon is common.  International graduates who return to their home countries often maintain personal, work and diplomatic links with their adoptive home, Italy.
