If you do not live in any of the
European Union countries, this is your procedure.
In your country
From the 23 May 2011 you need to go to the Italian Embassyor Consolate in your country to carry out the pre-enrollment procedure for a degree course for which the University of Milano-Bicocca has made a number of places available for non EU residents.

The Embassy/Consolate will give you:
- a "Declaration of Value" (DDV)
- the legalized diploma certificate and official translation of your high school diploma.
Following the go ahead from our University, the Italian Embassy or Consulate will give you an entry visa for reasons of study in order to enter Italy.
Here in Italy
Once you are in Italy you have eight days time to apply for a permit of stay.
On 1 September 2011 at 9.30 am you must go to the Foreign Students Office, in Via Temolo 3, (Building U21) with the following documents
- legalized original and official translation of secondary school diploma
- passport
- original DDV
- certification of academic studies, even if not completed
A photocopy of all the above documents is also needed.
On the same day the Italian language test will be held (unless you have been exonerated).
If you do not pass the test you will not be able to enrol and will be obliged to leave Italy before your visa runs out.
Some courses include an entry exam which you have to pass in order to enrol. The Foreign Students Office will include you in this after you have passed the Italian language test.
