The meeting will take place at the "Centro di Alta Formazione e Ricerca Università Milano-Bicocca (Magoodhoo Island, Faafu Atoll - Maldives) from 11 to 19 March 2012.

The main topic of interest will be how sustainable tourism can be developed in fragile ecosystems such as tropical islands and coral reefs.

How to manage luxury tourism will be discussed in terms of sustainability and the economic expansion of the local population.

Apart from theoretical lessons, there will be field activities to familiarize with the local ecosystem, visits to the island's resorts and meetings with representatives of the local population.
