Contenuti

Contents
This subject will focus on plants of marine environments, particularly on micro and macroalgae, seagrasses and plants forming costal vegetation with a special emphasis on the Mediterranean and tropical regions. The introduction will deal with the biodiversity of plants in order to understand what phyla of plants can be found in marine and costal environments. The first part of the course will focus on systematics, including the topics diversity, structure, evolution and biology. The second part will focus on costal vegetation of Mediterrannean and tropical regions. The third part will deal with the evironmental and human problems caused by marine plants and with their applications.
