Biografia
Laureato in Informatica nel 1999, ha conseguito il Dottorato in Matematica, Statistica, Scienze Computazionali ed Informatica nel 2004 presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano.
L’attività di ricerca riguarda il trattamento dell’incertezza, sia in ambito di knowledge representation che machine learning. Su queste tematiche ha pubblicato 50 articoli sulle principali riviste e circa 60 articoli a conferenze (peer reviewed) del settore. E’ Senior Area Editor di Int. J. of Approximate Reasoning e Associate Editor di Computational and Applied Mathematics. E' responsabile del progetto per il dipartimento di eccellenza "Regains: Ridurre il divario tra intelligenza artificiale e società", è stato presidente dell’International Rough Set Society (2019/20).
