Biografia

Claudio Zandron ha conseguito nel 1996 la laurea in Scienze dell'Informazione, con votazione massima e lode, presso  
l'Universita' degli Studi di Milano.  
Nel 2002 ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Informatica presso la stessa  
universita'.  
Dal 2002 al 2006 e' stato ricercatore presso l'Universita' degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, Dipartimento di  
Informatica, Sistemistica e Comunicazione.  
Da novembre 2006 e' professore associato presso lo stesso dipartimento.

ATTIVITA' DI RICERCA
L'attivita' di ricerca di Claudio Zandron riguarda principalmente l'ambito dei linguaggi formali, dei  
modelli di calcolo molecolare, la computazione con DNA e la complessita' computazionale.  
In particolare, a partire dal 1996 si occupa di modelli di calcolo che formalizzano l'azione degli enzimi  
di restrizione sulle molecole di DNA; piu' recentemente, approfondisce lo  
studio di modelli di computazione ispirati al funzionamento delle cellule.
Oltre ad approfondire lo studio della potenza di calcolo di alcune varianti di tali modelli, l'attivita' di
ricerca ha riguardato l'analisi della complessita' computazionale (sia in termini di tempo che di spazio) e  
l'applicazione dei modelli per la modellazione di fenomeni biologici.
E' autore di circa 100 lavori, presentati a conferenze internazionali, o pubblicati su riviste e volumi internazionali.
