The University of Milano-Bicocca will host on the 12th and 13th November the fourth international meeting of the European Network for Multi-locality Studies. Planned at the Department of Sociology and Social Research, with the supervision of Prof. Matteo Colleoni and the researchers belonging to the Research Center on Mobility, Tourism and Territory (CeMTeT), the event will gather the researchers belonging to the network and working on the phenomenon of Multilocalism in different European contexts.

Risen only recently as a consequence of the strong development and extension of mobility opportunities, the concept of Multilocalism is located in between the consolidated and aknowledged areas of research for mobility and migration, characterising those individuals whose daily life is located in two or more places, whose distance, due to its magnitude, cannot be covered through daily commuting.

This edition of the meeting will focus in particular on Services and Policies for Multi-localism. The main aim is to offer the opportunity to discuss the need of policies and services, or analyse the existence and characteristics of the current ones, proposed by public bodies (as local and state policies and regulations), private companies (as part for example of companies' welfare) or other private actors (in terms of market services), suitable for multilocal individuals and families (even if not directly designed for them explicitly like co-working spaces, or co-housing solutions, or sharing mobility services...).

Due to the ongoing global COVID19 pandemic the meeting will be fully ONLINE (working language: English).

In order to attend it a registration is required (deadline 10th November) and distinguished for each day:
