Doc, what are my chances to develop a contralateral breast cancer? A rising number of primary breast cancer survivors have been asking this question in the last two decade thanks to better treatment strategies and improved screening modalities of the primary breast cancer. A risk prediction model based on large individual patient data has been built and validated to disentangle this gap in breast cancer research.
An overview of risk prediction modelling in the context of big data with missing values and competing risks will be shown. Open gaps in statistical literature will be briefly discussed.
