The Master’s Degree in Applied Experimental Psychological Sciences (AEPS), offered by the Department of Psychology at the University of Milano-Bicocca, is an international two-year program taught in English. AEPS provides advanced training in experimental psychological sciences and in their application to real-world questions across diverse contexts and domains. The program focuses on the cognitive, social, emotional, and neural processes underlying human thought, behavior, language, knowledge, and decision-making.
AEPS combines a strong theoretical foundation with rigorous empirical and methodological training. The program is designed to balance flexibility and specificity: students acquire transferable research skills that can be applied across a wide range of contexts, while also developing a focused and personalized profile through their choice of courses, laboratories, practical training, and final thesis. In this way, AEPS connects psychological theory, quantitative methods, and applied research.
The expertise developed through AEPS prepares graduates for national and international career paths, in academia, the private sector, and the public sector. AEPS also qualifies graduates for professional practice as psychologists and provides a strong foundation for doctoral studies.
