Misure di radio- e termo-luminescenza risolte in lunghezza d’onda e in funzione della temperatura (10-320 K). Il campione indagato viene irraggiato con raggi X (di energia fra 10 e 32 keV) a temperatura controllata fra 10 e 320 K. Viene misurata la luce emessa a temperatura costante (radio-luminescenza) o durante una rampa di temperatura crescente (termo-luminescenza). In entrambe le configurazioni viene valutato anche lo spettro di emissione della luce emessa.
